The Jacoby Centre, as part of its wellness initiative, promotes health and nutrition as a lifelong pursuit. Student parents participate in meal planning, mental health awareness sessions, fitness activities, and a variety of other opportunities that highlight the importance of learning the how to's of leading a healthy lifestyle. They are discovering that a healthy lifestyle is fun, achievable and an essential ingredient of success.
The Jacoby Centre provides CHEP Good Food Boxes twice a month to student parents who participate in the centre's programming. This serves as a tool to discuss how to afford healthy food on a limited budget, how to develop the habit of trying new recipes', and using the Canada Food Guide to plan our meal.
The Jacoby Center invites both staff and students to order the Good Food Box and, we are delighted that student parents are taking an active part in coordinating this initiative.
